Jenny Scott Smith - Atticus-psychotherapies.

Jenny Scott-Smith (Norbury) - Dentist

Qualified in 2004, offering CBT for dental and needle phobia.

I can help you with:

My calm, caring approach to dentistry built me a loyal base of patients at the family dental practice where I worked for 14 years. I strive to make each patient’s trip to the dentist a positive experience; my approachable nature, excellent listening skills and empathy enable me to put anxious patients and children at ease, and I find helping this group of patients transform into confident, relaxed, regular attenders particularly rewarding.

Dental phobia is one of the most common phobias, and many people avoid going to the dentist altogether or are only able to accept treatment with sedation or general anaesthetic, resulting in delayed and more complicated treatment and worse outcomes. I completed the Cognitive Behavioural Techniques for the Management of Dental Fear course at Kings College London in 2016.   I can arrange initial appointments in a relaxed home environment, where I can help you develop more helpful thought patterns, use relaxation techniques and introduce you to dental equipment at your own pace to help you access dental treatment without sedation, enabling you to smile with confidence, eat without pain and feel much more relaxed about attending the dentist.
